Pathri Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal organized a daylong youth training camp on 29 March 2026. Sri Abhijit Ghosh, Assistant General Secretary of the Mahamandal, along with Sri Tuhin Chatterjee, Sri Badal Narayan Ghosh, and Sri Sahadev Shit of the Mahamandal, conducted classes on the aims and objectives of the Mahamandal, character-building, mental concentration, and the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. In the afternoon session, which was open to all, Sri Apurba Das of the Mahamandal delivered a speech on the relevance of Swami Vivekananda in the present context. The camp was attended by 86 youths from various schools and colleges. -
Special Discussion Programme

The Midnapore branch of the Mahamandal arranged a two-day special study circle on 28–29 March 2026. A total of 88 members, including former members, attended the programme. Various aspects of this man-making and character-building movement, its relevance in the present context, and its methods of work were discussed in depth. This programme is organised every year and has become a reunion of both old and new members. -
Health Check-up Camp

Nagarukhra Vivekananda Yuva Pathachakra organised a free health check-up camp on 17 March 2026, benefiting 150 persons. The camp was conducted with the assistance of the Chowberia branch of the Mahamandal. Medicines were distributed free of charge as needed. -

The Bhogpur Branch of the Mahamandal organised a day-long camp for adolescents on 14 March 2026. The camp was attended by 153 students from Classes VII to IX. The classes were conducted by Sri Anup Panja, Sri Goutam Samanta, and Sri Ghanashyam Jana of the Mahamandal. -

The Chowberia branch of the Mahamandal organised a free eye camp on 11 March 2026, which benefited 270 persons. Necessary medicines were also distributed free of cost among the patients. -

A day-long Vivek Vahini Instructors’ Training Camp was held on 8 March for the units under the Ghatal, Panskura, and Tamluk Zones, under the auspices of Mahishadal Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal. The sessions included classes on the purpose and importance of having a Vivek Vahini, the need for life-building for the instructors, and the methods of conducting study circles for the children. An interactive session was also held where the participants exchanged ideas and clarified various practical aspects of conducting Vivek Vahini. Practical demonstrations of games, parade, PT, and music were also provided. Sri Tarun Chakraborty, Sri Prasanta Chakraborty, Sri Raju Kumar Paul, and Sri Koushik Biswas conducted the sessions. A total of 20 members from different units, along with some members of Vivek Vahini and Kishore Vikas Vahini, participated in the camp. -
Health Check-up Camp

The Chowberia branch of the Mahamandal organized a free health check-up camp on 1 March 2026. Around 1,003 persons, including children, received treatment in various specialties such as paediatrics, ENT, gynaecology, and dental care. Free diagnostic tests, including blood sugar, haemoglobin, and ECG, were also conducted. Medicines were distributed free of cost to patients as per requirement.

A Vivek Vahini Instructors’ Training Camp was organized at Kuara Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal for the units under the Kalna and Katwa areas of Purba Bardhaman district on 15 February. A total of 48 members from 10 units participated in this camp. Discussions were held on the objectives of the Vivek Vahini, the importance and duties of the instructors, and the methods of conducting study circles for children. Practical demonstrations on parade, PT, and games were also conducted. The entire programme was conducted by Sri Prasanta Chakraborty, Sri Tarun Chakraborty, and Sri Santu Maity of the Mahamandal. -
Special Discussion Programme

A special discussion programme for adolescents was held at Dhansimla Vidyabhaban, District Bankura, on 15 February 2026, with the participation of 93 boys. The programme was conducted by Sri Atanu Kundu and Sri Suman Roy of the Mahamandal. Other senior members of the local unit also participated. The subjects discussed in the programme were methods of character-building and mental concentration. -
Kishore Training Camp

The 1st Kishore Training Camp of the Kolkata and South 24 Parganas Districts Zone of the Mahamandal was held on 1 February 2026 at Ghasiara Vidyapith School, Sonarpur, under the auspices of Sonarpur Vivekananda Yuva Mahamandal. The classes were conducted by Shri Tarun Chakraborty, Shri Anup Panja, and Shri Prasanta Chakraborty of the Mahamandal. The man-making and character-building ideals of Swami Vivekananda were discussed lucidly in simple language so that the participants could easily understand and assimilate the ideas. Sri Raju Kumar Paul of the Mahamandal conducted the music classes. At the end of the camp, Shri Prasanta Chakraborty addressed the guardians assembled in the open session and spoke on the role of guardians in the life-building of their children. A total of 175 participants, mostly school students, attended the camp with keen interest.

National Youth Day

The Jalpaiguri branch of the Mahamandal organized public meetings to commemorate the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda at four places in the city, namely Kadmatala More, Pratap Sangha Club premises, Netaji Unnayan Palli, and Sarada Palli. At all these venues, speakers delivered addresses on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda, its relevance in the present context, and the aims and activities of the Mahamandal. Members of the Vivek Vahini and Kishor Vikash Vahini presented the Swadesh Mantra, devotional songs, and a few memorable incidents from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Copies of Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address, along with photographs of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda, were distributed among the listeners, viewers, and passers-by. The members of this branch centre also took part in programmes organized by various local organizations. -

The procession at the Burdwan University campus passed through various departments of the university and concluded at Vivekananda Chatrabas. A special study circle was also arranged at Vivekananda Chatrabas, in which 120 students from different hostels of the University participated. Dr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Sri Ranapratap Nandi, and Dr. Tapan Kumar Garai of the Mahamandal delivered speeches on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda, its relevance in the present context, and highlighted the activities of the Mahamandal. The Chowberia branch of the Mahamandal conducted various programmes from 10 to 13 January to pay homage to Swami Vivekananda on his 164th birth anniversary. The programmes included special study circles for the members of the unit, where the life and message of Swami Vivekananda were discussed from various points of view, and its practical application through the Mahamandal was highlighted. The programmes also included a procession, recitations, devotional songs, and a public meeting. Srimat Swami Vedanuraganandaji, Vice Principal of Ramakrishna Mission Centenary College, Rahara, addressed the public meeting, which was attended by about 250 students along with their teachers. In his address, he spoke on Swamiji’s call to the youth.

The Midnapore branch of the Mahamandal organized a day-long training camp for youths and adolescents on 21 September 2025 at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyabhavan, Midnapore. The event was held under the guidance of the Monitoring Committee of Purba Medinipur, Paschim Medinipur, and Jhargram districts. The camp was inaugurated by Srimat Swami Prathananandaji, Secretary of Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Midnapore. Following the inaugural session, separate classes were conducted for youths and adolescents. For the youths, the classes on aims and objects of the Mahamandal, mental concentration, methods of life-building, and methods of character-building were conducted. For the adolescents, the same subjects were presented in a simplified manner suited to their level of understanding. Shri Amit Kumar Datta, General Secretary of the Mahamandal, and Shri Jagadish Dey, one of the Assistant General Secretaries of the Mahamandal were present at the camp and conducted classes. Along with them, Shri Pankaj Ojha, Shri Sahadev Shit, Dr. Srimata Saha, Shri Pinaki Ranjan Panda, Shri Dilip Dwibedi, and Shri Dwaipain Mishra of the Mahamandal also took classes. Dr. Koushik Bhattacharya, Secretary of the Midnapore branch, delivered the welcome address. A total of 182 youths and 133 adolescents participated in the camp. -
